Jim and Kathy Lane get silly with the
Kazoos for It's Branson Tonight!

Jim and Kathy Lane
“Cousins” Jim and Kathy Lane live in Kansas City, Kansas.
They have been married for 22 years, and have one
daughter.   They play and sing mainly at their church.  They
have released one album of Kathy’s songs, several of which
have been heard on
It’s Branson Tonight.  They hope to
release another one soon.

Jim Lane grew up in a large, musical family (16 children).  He
had no formal training in music, but he learned to play guitar
by watching and listening when his father’s uncle came over
to play bluegrass music, and when his sister invited the local
hootenanny crowd to sing folk music.  He would like to spend
his life playing and singing harmony.  He also plays a mean
kazoo.

Kathy (Keller) Lane took piano lessons growing up, and was
one of those rare kids who actually practiced.  She went to KU
and got her degree in music, and has been writing songs for
almost 30 years now.  Though she doesn’t think of herself as a
“real” singer, she learned enough from singing in choirs to
get by, and can at least do her own material.
